Paul is planning a major Charity Walk on some mountains in Wales – WOW – hence
WALK ON WALES
“The summits of the three thousand feet mountains of Wales can be visited in a single magnificent journey by fit and experienced mountain walkers. It’s not a mountain journey to be under-estimated.”
The plan is to Walk on Wales and reach the summits of all the Welsh Mountains in Wales over 3000 feet. There is 14 – but there is rumoured to be a fifteenth. All in a day if my son and I can manage it.
Paul plans to “walk” them with his son in 2015 before the Cricket Season so late march / Early April (school holidays).
Pencil in week of 30 March 2015.
Planned date to do it – Tuesday 31 March 2015
– but also any one who wishes to join him
Yes an opportunity to raise some funds for a charity – and I will be walking in aid of the following charities:
There is a website www.14peaks.com dedicated to these Welsh Mountains and does suggest if we were to complete:
“An entry may be made in the database if you have visited all fourteen peaks in a single journey. Many will opt to do the full traverse in a day without a significant stop but we are happy to accept claims for over 24 hrs providing that it is indeed a single journey – possibly using a tent or a stopover at a location such as the Ogwen YHA. The time is from the first peak to the last peak.”
So we hope to complete in a single journey. In under 24 hours so we can enjoy our time in North Wales even more.
Most start on Snowdon but we wish to finish on Snowdon.
If you wish to Sponsor this epic event please contact Paul – Paul has now amount as goal – just see where it gets to hopeful a pound coin mountain as high as Yr Wyddfa – Snowdon.
